How many boxes of pasta do you think you have in your pantry? Today I cleaned out my pantry and I found 27 boxes/packages of pasta! I have to admit that even I find it a little ridiculous. I couldn't help but laugh.
Goodness knows we love our pasta in every shape and size. In my defense, my son is allergic to wheat so about a third of the pasta is gluten-free.
Anyone want to come over for pasta? I think I should have enough!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!! Um, what's for dinner tonight?
ReplyDeleteI think you should post a pasta recipe, every night, until you finish all of this up. We will benefit from your recipes and you will benefit by clearing out your house.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought, I had a lot of pasta, in the house.......mutter, mutter.......
Yeah, I have to clean out my pantry. I bet I'd come close to that number. I want to use it all up. It drives me crazy!
ReplyDeleteOnly 27? WHat a rookie.
ReplyDeletenot even close to 27...maybe 5!
ReplyDeletehe he love it
ReplyDeleteHaha love it! I usually just buy it as I need it unless it goes on sale at whole Foods...but recently I won a 20 lb box of it. So now I have THAT sitting in my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLike chocolate, there's no such thing as too much pasta. I see you like different kinds as well. What a great pasta salad you could make with all those shapes!
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't think I've seen many boxes of pasta outside of a store. Whole grain pastas are getting better and better, which I love.
ReplyDelete☺ I am probably there with you in pasta - too funny!
ReplyDeleteIt like me with shoes!
ReplyDeleteIf it were 27 boxes of the same kind of pasta I might be worried about you, but hey this, I totally get! :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got almost a months worth there. You can buy an italian cookbook and just work your way through it LOL. I am so with you though on buying more than you can eat. For me its fancy pants cookies. I think I've got about 15 boxes (the killer was a recent trip to Crabtree & Evelyn-- have u ever tried their cookie samples?).
ReplyDelete*kisses* HH
I thought my 6 packages(including two half used boxes of orzo) were bad.
ReplyDeleteIntervention?!
Funny! I love it. I have 3 or 4 I think. Now I don't feel so bad, lol!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot but my assortment seems heavily weighted with rice noodles:-). If you don't think you can work your way through all of it, local food pantries will be happy to take unopened packages. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteI probably come close actually - and I just bought a HUGE bag of both garden rotini and elbow macaroni at Sam's Club yesterday!! My poor pantry..
ReplyDeletedang woman! that is a ton, I have random half filled boxes all over though.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! i can SO relate! a similar thing happened to me after i cleaned out the freezer, you've never seen so many bags of coconut and almonds, apparently we really like those. i have a feeling you have some rockstar pasta recipes coming up!
ReplyDeleteps, your house is so pretty!
Wow! I can tell you were one of those people who were prepared for Y2K and beyond!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of pasta! Guess you will be carbing up for a few days :)
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with sauces. I have a mini fridge in the garage to hold all my bbq sauces.
ReplyDeleteOh my. I have the same addiction. I buy way too much pasta. Now, I have a pasta maker. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Kim.
That is a awful lot of pasta--and here thought I had a lot ;-) Oh well, at least it gives you a variety to choose from when you make a recipe!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of pasta! We have just as much. My Dad stockpiles it like there's no tomorrow!! Every time I make a dent in it he buys more. I can't win.
ReplyDeleteI want to come over for pasta. hehe
